Right after the procedure, your mouth will likely feel numb for a few hours. However, once the numbness fades, it\u2019s normal to feel some soreness or tenderness near the treated tooth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This discomfort usually peaks within 24 to 48 hours and can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the pain seems severe or lasts more than a few days, give your dentist a call just to be safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Be Gentle with Your Tooth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If your dentist hasn\u2019t placed a crown yet, the treated tooth may still be a bit fragile. Avoid hard, crunchy, or sticky foods until your dentist gives you the green light.
