Every plan is a little bit different, but here is what a typical one may look like.

  • 100% coverage of preventive services
  • 80% coverage of minor restorative treatments
  • 50% coverage of major restorative services

Remember that Cigna offers various plans, so it’s important to review your policy and go over it with our team so you can make educated decisions about your oral health.

When you choose a dentist who is in-network with Cigna, like we are, you can expect to pay less for the care you receive. Since the cost of preventive and restorative procedures is negotiated with a Cigna professional, we can assure you that you are paying the lowest possible out-of-pocket cost for your dental care. That being said, with PPO dental insurance, you don’t need to choose an in-network dentist, but you can save a lot more when you do.

The Benefits of Seeing an In-Network Dentist

We are in-network with Cigna. This means that she has a contract with the insurer to establish a fair and average fee for covered dental services that we agree to change. Cigna will then cover a percentage of that cost for the patient. Alternatively, out-of-network dentists can charge higher fees for their dental services, but you need to pay the difference in price in addition to your out-of-pocket percentage of the insurance’s pricing. By visiting an in-network dentist, you know you’ll be responsible for the lowest possible cost.
